1. Scope
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute an agreement between you (the "User") and Jiangsu Xinghui Shuzhi Technology Co., Ltd, the operator of Live Translate (the "Company", "we", "us"), regarding your use of our products and services, including but not limited to the web app and API (collectively the "Service"). By registering, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have fully accepted these Terms.
2. Service description
The Service is an AI-powered real-time speech translation and meeting minutes tool. Core features include:
- Real-time speech transcription and translation across multiple languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, English, etc.)
- Offline transcription and translation of uploaded audio files
- AI-generated meeting minutes, chapters, and emotional insights
- Shareable links with optional password and expiry
- Personal glossary management
We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app announcement or email.
3. Account registration and security
3.1 You must register using a valid WeChat account or email address. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Any loss caused by your own negligence is borne by you.
3.2 Each account is for a single individual. Reselling, lending, or sharing accounts is prohibited.
3.3 You must not use automated tools to register accounts in bulk or to bypass authentication, billing, or other system mechanisms.
4. Acceptable use
By using the Service, you agree not to:
- Upload or transcribe audio that violates applicable laws, public morals, or the lawful rights of others
- Record other people's conversations without their lawful authorization
- Use the Service for spam, network attacks, scraper abuse, or similar activities
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy our core algorithms, models, or data
We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account for any violation, with no refund.
5. Billing and refunds
5.1 The Service is metered in "credits". 1 credit ≈ 1 minute of real-time translation, or an equivalent amount of offline transcription.
5.2 You may purchase credits via Alipay or other payment channels. Credits do not expire after purchase and can be fully accumulated, but are non-refundable once paid.
5.3 If credits are wrongly deducted due to a service fault on our side, please contact support — we will compensate the equivalent amount upon verification.
5.4 Credits purchased on accounts banned for violating these Terms are non-refundable.
5.5 For credits purchased through an In-App Purchase, refunds are decided by Apple under its own policy, and 5.2 does not apply to that channel. Once Apple grants a refund, we deduct the credits granted by that purchase; if they are already spent, the balance is reduced to zero and no further.
5.6 When you file a refund request with Apple for an In-App Purchase, Apple may ask us for the delivery and consumption details of that purchase in order to review it. You agree that we may provide Apple with: whether the purchase was delivered successfully, and what percentage of those credits has been consumed. This does not include your meeting content, transcripts, recordings, or any other personal information.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 The site structure, UI design, trademarks, text, images, code, model weights, and other materials of the Service belong to us or our licensors. They may not be copied, distributed, or adapted without prior written permission.
6.2 The audio you upload, the resulting transcripts, and the meeting minutes belong to you. We process them only to the extent necessary to deliver the Service.
6.3 We may use de-identified data samples (with personally identifiable information removed) to improve the Service. You may opt out by contacting support.
7. Service availability and disclaimers
7.1 We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the Service, but do not guarantee 100% availability. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, third-party service failures (e.g. Alibaba Cloud DashScope, network carriers), or issues on the user's end.
7.2 Translations produced by the Service are machine-generated. Accuracy is affected by language, accent, terminology, and environmental noise. For critical scenarios, please verify with a human. We are not liable for business decisions, contract disputes, or other consequences arising from translation output.
7.3 Any loss caused by your violation of these Terms, leakage of account credentials, or upload of non-compliant content is borne by you.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time due to legal updates or product changes. Material revisions will be announced in advance via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, please stop using the Service and contact support to delete your account.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring an action in the People's Court with jurisdiction at our place of business.
